- Dr. Bach was born in England in 1886. He became a physician and a well know scientist specializing in developing vaccines. During the 1st world-war he was attached to a hospital with wounded soldiers. He noticed that some of the soldiers recovered much faster than others. This made him believe that each individual’s emotions played a part in the time it took to recover.
- In 1917 Dr. Bach collapsed and was diagnosed with a tumour. The doctors gave him three months to live. So, he set out to finish his work on the vaccines, but as the weeks went by, he recovered and got stronger each day, convincing him that emotional strength helped him recover.
- Dr. Bach was convinced that flower remedies would be able to replace the vaccines, he had developed. After testing thousands of plants, he found the ones he needed one by one. His philosophy was to heal the whole person, not the symptom. Dr. Bach believed that If the patient could heal emotionally, the patient would then be able to heal him/herself physically.
- From 1930 to 1934 he would walk the countryside during the summer finding the flowers and preparing the remedies. During the winter he stayed in Cromer on the East Coast of England and treated patients, using the remedies in this process.
- Dr. Bach died in 1936 leaving behind a complete system to help people cure themselves as he had intended.
- Dr. Bach always intended to KEEP IT SIMPLE.
